I come from a competitive sports background playing Baskeball and coaching at the youth level. My classes generally reflect that sports influence creating a dynamic 90 minute practice.
I am trained in instructing Hatha and Vinyassa yoga. In general my classes start off slow and build in intensity. I like to teach classes that focus on the basics and add lots of options to go up or down depending on your level. My slower classes focus on injury prevention, muscle recovery and overall toning of the body.
As a former athlete I understand the wear and tear of pushing yourself to the limits can have on the body, and try to create classes to remedy that. A constant theme throughout all of my classes is the breath. I’m big on working with the breath and synchronizing the breath with movement.
